Solar Supply
Using the sun to generate electric power is called photovoltaic
technology. Photo means light and voltaic means electric.
Photovoltaic cells (solar cells) are used to convert the sunlight
directly into electricity. Even though the sun is 150 million
kilometers away from the earth, it is extremely powerful. The sun
sends so much energy to the earth that one minute's worth of
sunlight could provide a whole year of electricity.
So why don't we use the sun to supply all of our power? Well, in
order to properly harness the sunlight for enough electric energy,
we would need solar power stations. These are very expensive to
build. Single solar panels are not that expensive, and there have
actually been many developments in the past years that have made
them less costly to construct. On an individual basis, solar power
is much more affordable, but it is still too expensive for most
communities to use solar energy for their electric supplies.
Still, individuals can take advantage of the power the sun offers
to us. You can purchase solar panels very inexpensively to generate
electricity around the home for your appliances and battery charging
needs, or to generate power for your outdoor and recreational
activities. Bee Cool Inc. creates solar panels that are ideal for
these types of needs.
Our BC-103 and BC-99 solar panels come with an adjustable arm
that allows them to be attached to yard posts, roofs, RVs, boats,
docks, sheds and much more. Our panels are made using
polycrystalline silicon cells, which are much more efficient and
stable than amorphous solar cells. We also have a solar Smart
Charger for charging 12-volt lead acid batteries and to run small
appliances. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at
